1948-1951 Newspaper cuttings on Fulham games (Scrapbook 2)
Right this is the Second scrapbook of three, they were done by my aunt when she was a very young girl (I don't think she had any scissors though. lol).
They are just newspaper reports and pictures of Fulham games from 1948 to 1951. I had to make e/copies of them because they
were falling apart and soon there will be nothing left of them. I know they arn't going to be much use to the majority of users
on this site, but just thought someone may enjoy reading some of the old clippings. I've uploaded one picture just to show
you what I mean.

I have a cutting from our local papers in Malta which is saying that Fulham team are coming to Malta for some special training

Yes, some of us are still alive. My friends and I used to travel to the Cottage in the late forties every other home game from Hitchin in Herts., which meant an early start to catch the'workmans'train to London. It left Hitchin at 7.00 A. m. and we spent best part of a day in London before ending up at the Cottage. I remember a picture of Arther? Rowley as he scored a winning goal and his head was covered in blood. What a hero, as were all of the early Fulham players, Joe Bacuzzi, Arther Stevens, Hugh Kelley,Sorry but my memory fades me.We were at one game and the ground was packed versus Charlton Athletic and we were passed overhead to the front of the crowd onto the grass and we spent an afternoon talking to Sam Bartram.
